What kind of classes does everyone take as a "relief" from other classes? I'm trying to decide between table tennis, fly fishing or a martial arts class...

jk, IDK why my university offers that course!

I'm jealous, I don't have time to take any classes that aren't pre-req for med school, honors degree, or my major :( And that's 5 courses each semester till junior spring.

Have you considered women's study classes? The ones at my school are pretty big (50-100 students) and for the most part your classmates are all female.

The students are all female for a reason.

But it's also a pretty easy class and can make for some interesting seminar presentations.
Really? Oh. I've never been near the Women's Studies department at my school, so I just have this stereotyped vision of misandrous professors and political agendas.

It's probably not like that though.

I think the women's studies thing is totally dependent on the school. I go to an all-girls school and the women's studies classes are crazy driven by the professors political agenda...but now the "women's studies" majors and minors are trying to get some women's studies incorporated into every class, to the point where our economics class is almost completely about women and what they do with the economy....

Anyway I just take art classes, if anything you can practice your bull****ting skills trying to get someone to see your finger painting as a work of art like most modern artists do.

There's a history class called "Porn & Prostitution" at my school.
I will dominate next semester.

Some of the seminars that we had talked about how women are treated in the media. My classmates actually showed a couple of segments from a porn clip during a presentation. You should have seen the look on my professors face (he was a guy). I've never seen any professor be as distracted as he was during class.

I took Greek Mythology, Roman Literature for fun my senior year (2 of the easiest classes on campus). I also took lots of music classes (marching band, symphonic band, theory, teaching music -- guitar, recorder, voice), a Shakespeare class, and languages.

I should've taken probably photography, tennis, or golf. btw, I took 5 years in college.

I took Greek Mythology this semester. It made it easier to study for Chem/Bio since I could switch over from non-science to science.

I took some history & film combo courses--"Japan in the Age of the Samurai" and "WWII in Asia." They were great because we (obviously) watched movies, but the discussions were all about history so it was a little more objective than a regular film class.

I took beginner volleyball for relief- which is funny since I played all over the country for 10 years growing up!

Also I take history classes because that is my minor.

Might be taking scuba diving next spring just because.

Which is good if you're a guy.
You can look but they won't touch - because they'll think you're gay (not that there's anything wrong with that ). I've met more hot quasi-intelligent girls in my pre-reqs than in any others - always sit next to a girl for your labs and always do just a bit better than her and play it off like it's cake - she'll flock to you for help ... but on a serious note, it works.

Fly fishing would be fun, relaxing.... wish we had it.

We did have golf though. No one really came so you pretty much just went out to the school's course and got almost one-on-one instruction from the club's teaching pro, good deal.

Scuba would be fun as well.
