Do they increase at all?

The late phase of asthma pathophysio has secretion of MBP from eosinophils causing bronchial epithelial damage

Does this not happen in intrinsic asthma ?

damn so eosinophil count rises in both?

it doesnt make much sense for it to rise in intrinsic - like exercise induced asthma!

Eosinophils are related to allergy type conditions. Asthmatic patients have a strong connection to allergy type conditions, so I would think it would go up.

A classical example would be an asthma patient who gets aspergillus after cleaning a moldy basement, they will have a spike in eosinophils.

yeah that was my conclusion too, but it seems it rises in exercise induced asthma and other causes of intrinsic asthma (non allergic/atopic) too?
