ER residency in Nebraska?

I think this program is only a couple of years old. Does anyone know anything about it? Heard anything?

they just started up there first class every this last month. They have a home page up at saem.org with all the info you could probably want.

I interviewed there and was favorably impressed with faculty, teaching, facilities (the new ER being built)

However, if you look at their match class it is all: people from Nebraska, people with previous training and/or people with PhDs.

I would have been there had they ranked me higher (they were high on my list) and am a bit bitter about the experience.

I have a friend who matched there this year. Seems very happy about it.

I have a friend in the Surgery program at UofN and they were quite skeptical. That is the REALLYYYYY diffictult thing with starting a new program, getting pushed around by the established programs. Getting a foothold is difficult and departmental status is even more difficult.
In 10 years it will likely be a great program, but right now...I would be very cautious.
