How many feel when the show first came out back in the mid 90's it was better than it is today? I have been watching the whole 1st and 2nd season on DVD collection and compare it with todays episodes. The 1st and 2nd seasons of the show intrigued me mainly because of the way they portray and follow "Carter" as he is a med-student. Lets hear some thoughts.

Way better...

but that doesn't stop me from tuning in every week 😳 😳 😳

BTW, when does season 3 come out? It seems like forever.

I am wondering the same thing.

Thanks for asking, I was watching it the other day, and I was like huh? They have the dude from " A Walk to Remember" on there now, I was like who next. Don't get me wrong, I'd watch it if 50cent and the G unit were residents on the show, but c'mon! The first episodes were much better IMO.

There was a website that posted season 3's release a week or so before Christmas. That clearly didn't happen. Then it was mid-January, which clearly isn't happening. The best guess anybody has for a region 1 (US) release of season 3 is in April, 1 year after season 2 came out. Who knows?

-dope-

As of right now, the official release date for the 3rd season is April 26th

I watched it in college, before it got really bad. My husband had a quiz Thursday so we decided to veg Thurs night and turned on the TV and I saw last week's episode. I can't believe they have to sink so low to actually have somebody kidnapped just to get a new story line.

I wonder when ER jumped the shark...

I love the 'ol-skool' ER! Following Carter through residency partly motivated me to choose EM. Now if a school could guarantee a physician as hot as George Clooney on its staff, I'll happily focus on Emergency Peds.... 😉

If only all med schools came with docs as adorable as Ross, Carter, Pratt, and Luka. 😛

I am a huge ER fan, I just love the show, but its nothing like it once was. The only two characters on the show we care about right now are Abbie and Carter, and Carter has gone a tad flat. Bringing back Susan Stringfield has helped get the show back on track and it is getting better.

The first two seasons are all just brilliant. ER is slowly getting back to "real" medicine after having us watch a helicopter fall on Romano and a tank head towards the hospital.

Yeah, ER rocks! It was better in the earlier days and Carter was a motivation for me too. However, it is still pretty good...I try not to miss an episode.

What's going on in Abbie's head? When she was abducted, I thought she was a gonner. I'm wondering how that experience will affect her head moving forward.
