When the secondary essays give a character limit, is that with or without spaces???

Character limits are the bane of medical school applications.

"In 1000 characters or less, explain why you're so special, all of your research/clinical/volunteer experiences, what you value most in your life, how you would add to the diversity at our school, and what your favorite cookie is. Please do not refer the reader to your AMCAS application."

If that were the only essay secondaries had, it would be a piece of cake. But because they make your write SO many. -_-

I love Boston though in that they are the first school to realize that most students don't really WANT to write another essay and make it TRULY optional. If only other schools would follow their lead.
