How long do they take to verify them? I was going to send them in after summer school is over because--

1) I want my summer semester to be included, and
2) I'm taking the Aug MCAT, so my application wont be complete until later anyway.

What do you guys think?

it can take a loooonnnnnnngggggg time. first off, your school has to get them out in time (which can take forever). second, amcas has to receive them (lots of transcripts somehow manage to get "lost"). so send them off asap so if there are any problems you can fix em super-quick.

We send our transcipts before our applications are finished, right? I sent them a week ago and am still waiting on early decision...decisions so I haven't clicked go on my primaries. I'm trying to imagine whether amcas keeps them someplace in a huge pile because I haven't sent my primary stuff in yet.

Also, do you get an email or something when they receive your transcripts whether you sent your primaries or not?

Also, if you do send your primaries, do they then have a 'transcript indicator' of some sort?

Send your transcripts in as soon as possible because delays really **** things up. I have a friend who applied to Rush in Chicago and was told at his interview that if he applied earlier, he would have gotten in, but there were simply no spots left. The reason for the delay was a mix-up with AMCAS. If the rest of your application is good enough to merit an interview, you can send the school a copy of your updated transcript (to include spring and summer quarters) if you really want to seal the deal.
