has anyone interviewed at these places? is anyone interviewing this week, i.e. 9/10, 9/11, 9/17?

if you are or have, please pm me...

VCU was a nice and friendly interview--I felt like the guy genuinely wanted to get to know me better. After the interview, the admissions guy told us that 98% or something are favorable interviews, so you can really relax and be yourself I think. I don't know if you've been to RIchmond before, but while you are there, take a look at the Fan and Carytown. When I visited, I thought Richmond was kind of a dump, cause I missed some of the the best parts.
Oh, and my EVMS interview was exactly like everything that's posted on interview feedback--kind of a pain, but fine. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the insight on the EVMS interview and for posting the questions! That helps quite a bit. Out of all the schools I've applied to, EVMS is my first choice (for now). That's why I don't want to screw it up. I noticed a question they asked you that had been previously asked to interviewees last year...namely the question on blood pressure and who would you ask about taking medication. What does this question mean? It seems straightforward to me. Just ask her, right? Could you elaborate on this further? Thanks for you help. I hope I can be of assistance to you in the future.

Sorry if I'm getting back to you too late to be of help...but if you haven't interviewed yet, I still say don't worry! Dr. Lewis, the dean at EVMS was sooooo nice and really bent over backwards to make people feel welcome and to answer questions. I was so impressed by him. The interview questions can be tough, but just remember (and Dr. Lewis will remind you) that there are no right or wrong answers. I really think that they just want to know that you are a thoughtful person and can express your ideas and that you can appreciate the complexity of the issues they present to you. If you are really nervous about the ethical questions, maybe take the time to talk about some of those issues with friends. I interviewed there last year but I'm pretty sure they've been doing it the same way for a while. When I interviewed, I felt like I botched some of my answers and didn't present a very good impression of myself, but I ended up getting in anyway--so don't get down on yourself if you feel like it's not going perfectly. I'm sure you'll be fine. Best of luck.
