EVMS VS HOWARD MEDICAL SCHOOL

Hi! Leaning towards Howard already but would appreciate input. I’m from the DC area,prefer urban environments, and I think the cost of attendance for both schools is about equal (EVMS claims they’ll match Howard)

that being said, is there a *huge* prestige difference here? I don’t think I want to go for anything ultra competitive (maybe IM, psych, emergency), but would attending Howard over EVMS significantly limit my options in future?

My first thought would be to compare total COA. DC will be more expensive to live in, but if it is what you're used to and don't mind the extra loans, go for it! Being in DC might allow you to do rotations at other DC area medical schools and open residency options/ allow you to make connections earlier. Both are relatively low tier MD; however, you can match in whatever you want if you go to either.
