I can't remember any recent honors or awards (civilian) that I received. Are military awards considered awards (good conduct, commendation, overseas etc) when filling out the AADSAS online application?

If so, where can I get this information?

Thanks.

Yes, be choosy about the awards you put down. Although end-of-tour awards (Navy Achievement Medal, etc.) might sound great to an adcom, you run the risk of somebody on an adcom actually knowing that those awards are given out quite generously (essentially, if you don't screw up during your tour). If you have an end-of-tour award that is generally reserved for higher ranks, you might want to mention that one. And, of course, you should always mention any awards or medals given to you for valor or anything else you have done that is great, provided it is not run of the mill.

I hope your careers have turned out well since this thread, but I question why someone would not submit a "run of the mill" award. If its not there in the application, to me that says you didn't receive one and I would question why its not there. Although it may seem like it doesn't mean much, it really should and one should be proud to have received it. Personally I have almost too much stuff to submit beside the awards, but some of them seem to be a catch all and can only provide more evidence that that work has been done. What are your thought please? Thanks for your help
