Examkrackers proportions section

I am doing the examkrackers introduction section and I am having a hard time with the proportions section. I can not get this. Is this section really important or should I worry about not getting this section? If its worth understanding, is there another source that explains this better?

Understanding proportions is extremely important, there definitely will be questions that use this particular skill on the MCAT. To be perfectly honest, it's pretty basic math that you should know anyway, so yes, you should master it. I don't know where else might explain it better but feel free to ask questions here.
