Are most exams in your D-school so far straightforward or tricky (like undergraduate years just to meet bell curve)?

So far at Temple they have been very straightforward. Either you knew it or you didn't.

Depends on the class. Most here are very straightfoward, you know it or you don't.

Biochem they brought in this new guy who make everything so convulated. You could know it and still fail.

ohh I can so relate to that. I studied my butt off for biochem and still managed a B because the teachers ( we have 3) were new. other classes. again it depends on the teacher.

Exams here are very straightforward. They really want you to do well (some so they don't have to see you again :D ) and if they're asking a difficult question because they've seen it on the boards, they try to tell you that to show that they're not just being douchebags.

in dental school, it's not that the exams are tough and thought provoking. Most are very straight forward. It's the sheer amount of material that really gets to you. In dental school, 1 month worth of material is probably equivalent to what you learn in 1 whole semester of college (or at least it feels that way) When they throw a ton of stuff for you to memorize (especially anatomy) it becomes pretty difficult to remember things.

I agree with this one...we had an exam for histo where we were running behind. So we had to cram 1/4 of the course into 2 days (we had been taking it over 6 weeks) and then take our final the next day. I remember nothing from those sections after the exam....

If we took biochem, human anatomy, histology in college already before coming to D-school, then it should be easier right?

If they cram that much material in few days...by the time you have to take the first board, will you be able to recall all the earlier stuff? When is your 1st board by the way?

I would highly recommend anatomy, histo, biochem, etc. it has made life at temple quite reasonable so far.
