Hi, everyone. A number of schools I have applied to have no secondary questions besides various iterations of, "Is there any additional information you would like the admissions committee to be aware of?"

I. Would it be appropriate to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on your application, given that there was some kind of impact? Or only if the impact was severe?
II. Would it be appropriate to discuss our activities for the coming year before matriculation if we have any that started after the application was submitted and are therefore not on the application?

If any adcoms could give their opinions on this use of the space, it would be appreciated, but everyone's input is valuable. Thank you all for your help.

Suggest #2.

If write about all the wonderful plans you had that got derailed by COVID, what's the point? They didn't happen, and you get point for saying you were going to do something.
If COVID affected you or your family directly, you can spin that into something as to relevance for a medical career.

#2 gives an idea of how you'll be spending your time, which is why many apps ask for projected hours.

Thank you, this is very helpful. Is the same true of #1 as an explanation of why some activities are suddenly cut short with few hours?
Also, would covering both be acceptable?
