hey guys,
how much detail did you all go into on the app in the space for listing your extracurricular activities? did you just list the activitiy and your roll or describe it?

I read some good advice a while ago that I'm trying to follow: use the space to describe what you gained from the experiences rather than simply detailing what you did. Definitely describe the experience - you never know...something you mention could spark enough interest to get you an interview.

Take this with a grain of salt, cause this is my first time going through the process. But, if I was on an adcom, I would care less what the person did, and more on how well the person can verbalize what it meant to them.

I just went to my pre-med advisor with the same question last week and she gave me this exact advice. Just don't get too cheesy and over-the-top about what you gained from the activity and you should be fine.
