So this might sound a bit silly, but I was wondering about extracurricular activities. I know about shadowing physicians and volunteer work, but I just don't know much about what exactly is meant when people mention things like "research opportunities". What I'm basically asking is what would be some examples of research opportunities for pre-medical students? Also, does anyone have any tips on finding such opportunities? Any advice on what is important for medical school applicants (other than GPA and MCAT scores) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
