extracurriculars vs corporate experience for GPR/AEGD

Hi guys, I'm a D2 nontraditional student, married with a 2yo and another on the way, and between family and studying I have found it hard to do any extracurricular activities aside from the biggies (give kids a smile, mission or mercy, etc.). Prior to school I was a lead for my department in one company and an administrator for another.

I am heavily interested in doing a VA residency so my questions are:
1) How much weight do extracurricular have on one's resume for the VA GPR?
2) Does my corporate experience have any weight at all and if so how (more or less)?
3) I only logged some 20hrs of volunteer time last year vs. my classmates who are near 100hrs or so. What can I do (aside from volunteering) to bridge that gap?
