For the FAFSA, does your parents' net worth affect the EFC. I have zero income, don't work. But my parents have a net worth that doesn't fit on the FAFSA box, so i put 999999. So will that affect my grant/loan status. They won't pay for my medical school, 'cos they are cheap. I don't think I should be penalyzed for my parents being loaded.

your parents income WILL NOT affect your efc. You are considered independant when applying to med school, and your expected family contribution comes from you and your spouse if u have one. :)

It will only affect loans/grants/scholarships given out by individual schools, not the the EFC that FAFSA calculates or the amount of federal Stafford loans you are eligible for. There have been lots of long discussions about this in the past few months. Do a search for FAFSA and you'll find a lot of information.
