Am I blind? I can't find the original thread.
Anyway, quick question.

Is there any amount of money (either my net worth or my parents, or combined) that will make me ineligible for the federal loans offered to med students?

My parents are good investors and I dont want that to screw with my fafsa.

Thanks in advance

oh... now someone moved the thread up. Well, I dont know how to delete this anyway.

You'll be eligible for full federal loans because you're independent of your parents. That's by definition, since you'll be in med school. However you probably won't qualify for institutional aid. Now, if your PERSONAL net worth is high, you won't qualify for as much federal aid.

oh, and the thread is right below this 🙂

How high is high? (Im really stupid about this whole thing) Are we talking 10,000
50,000
500,000
??

I have no clue. Not 10,000, I can assure you of that. I don't know the different levels for aid allowances, though. In any case it's not worth worrying over. Just submit the FAFSA and see what you get 🙂
