I REALLY need advice !!!!!!
Hey everyone I am rather new to the Student- Doctor- Network Site although I am frequent flyer of observing the discussion forms on here. But, recently I've decided to register for my own account since I find the discussions very helpful as well as informative, and I am now in need some advice myself so I'll try to be as helpful to you as I can by being through so that you can advise me accordingly. Here's the situation:
"I am a raising Junior and this Fall 2017 semester I contemplating signing up for Organic 3, Advanced Lab techniques, Biochemistry 1, Biochemistry 1 lab, Genetics, and Genetics lab. I also plan to continue volunteering one day out of a week at the local health clinic in my town that helps the economically disadvantage, and joining AMWA (American Medical Women's Association) at my university. Is this a good schedule to have while studying for the MCAT to make the highest score possible, which I plan to take possibly early Spring 2018? Should I swap out Genetics for Music Appreciation? "
(My plan)
Mon- After volunteering I would attend class from 1pm- 2p,. Part-time job afterword's possibly
Tues- Class pretty much all day with two breaks ranging from 2-3 hrs. No work afterwards.
Wed- Dedicated MCAT study time 7-am -12pm. Class from 1pm-2pm. Part-time job afterwards possibly
Thurs- Class pretty much all day with two breaks ranging from 2-3 hrs. No work afterwards
Fri- Class until 2pm. Part -time job afterword's possibly
I know most people that I've talked too cringe when I say I am taking Organic 3 with Advance Lab techniques or just in general in my course load. But, I enjoy organic chemistry and I am rather good at with. Plus, the chem. majors I spoken to told me Advanced Lab Techniques was a rather laid my class (same independence as research). Also, I've done exceedingly well by making A's in Calculus 1-2 (Cal 2. in summer) , Organic 2, and General Physics 2 ( Taken in Summer) so I think I should be able to handle it. Moreover, I chosen this schedule for my Fall 2017 semester because in the Spring of 2018. I have to take Analytical chemistry, Analytical Chemistry Lab, Basic Physical Chemistry, and Music Appreciation and possible research.. What do you think? I don't want to destroy my GPA.
