I am completing my family medicine residency in the US and plan on becoming a hospitalist for about 240,000 or so. One week on and one week off with some locums, ed work rounding out to around 300,000 or so for the year. My question is can I perform hospitalist work in Toronto and if so what type of salary range would I be looking at? I have already taken the first MCEE and I have been told by people that GP's in Toronto can make 250-300 but I am trying to see how they would do that. Must I go into private practice or is their a hospitalist track I can follow as a Family Doc.

thanks-
