I just discovered this website: The Last Psychiatrist and love it. Too bad he isn't updating anymore. I kind of like it because it lacks a certain level of professional decorum, which makes it quite refreshing and frank.

Tried a couple of articles from that blog, not my bag. Tries way to hard. Honestly, haven't found any good psych websites/blogs. It's unfortunate that so many of the big ones, like PsychCentral, are terrible. There's a good market for a site with actual good information that is digestible by the public and practitioners alike.

Yes...but still very entertaining to read. He really is/was a gifted writer. I read all of his stuff way back when. Too bad he hasn't updated, as today's healthcare system is ripe for more commentary.

I also enjoyed TLP - always a good read despite the arrogance and other flaws, which he pretty openly admitted to.

I haven't found a good replacement.
