Having been accepted into a good school?not my first choice?I am reluctant to write in a letter of intent to my first choice school (at which I have been waitlisted) that I will drop all other schools if I am accepted.

My fear is that, as I have not received financial aid packages from either school the possibility exists that my first choice will cost me so much more that it will not be worth going to.

If this happens, is it bad form to decline an acceptance to my top choice school (post letter of intent)?

Any thoughts?

i was thinking about writing a letter of intent but adding that i will attend whatever school and withdraw from all others if i get accepted and the financial package is feasible for me to afford. or something like that. it was just a thought

Good question. That's something I'm struggling over now. I don't have any answers either. 🙁
