Hello,
Just wanted some advice regarding update letters/poster presentations.

I presented multiple of my colleague's posters at a conference because they were unable to attend. This is not prohibited by conference guidelines and I was clear that I was covering my colleague's work.

I am about to update schools with a letter. Can I include that I independently presented these posters on behalf of my colleague in this letter, or is that frowned upon?

Did you partake in any of the groundwork to make the poster/presentation?

It's kind that you could fill in, but it's not like you landed a plane...

In other words, I don't see any value to the update. Do what you do, and trust the process.

There is no need to mention you presented other people's work. Just mention your own presentations and leave it at that. It will bring more questions than answers and only confuse your actual role.

No, I was simply covering my colleague to ensure that the research was presented to the judges.
Not going to count because there's no way of documenting this. Your name won't be on the abstract or poster, right?
