I worked hard and invested in mutual funds and CDs before getting accepted into med school. Any strategy to follow to increase my chance to receive aid or get subsidized loans?

In college my roommate figured out that if you hard working and save your money they make you pay for yourself until you're broke. If your lazy and don't save they'll loan it to you. So if you're talking about loans. Liquidate all your assets for the purposes of filling for financial aid, that means get it in cash, keep it out of the bank and out of the market until the heat cools off. If your looking for scholarships, local organizations, and certain medical specialties offer non-FA scholarships. Check with your hometown medical association.

Just a reply to keep this current since I knocked it off with all the med school posts.
