Financial aid for "international students" with US residency

What kind of financial aid is available for people who are citizen of foreign countries, but are US residents? Your replies are greatly appreciated 🙂

If you have American greencard or permanent residency, you are eligible for whichever aid there is out there for American citizens (i.e. institutional aid, federal aid, etc.). I have never seen a single sentence that separates the phrases "American citizen" and "American permanent resident". So if you have greencard, you are golden.
