Finishing Pre-reqs before applying

So I plan on applying in May '08 as a junior for '09 matriculation. With my planned class schedule for the next year, I realize I might be short of a few pre-reqs (a couple of chem labs) by the time I apply. Is this ok? What are the rules on what classes must be completed by the time you apply.
