So my friend retook the mcat today after a 26 on her first one.

During the exam a fire drill happened and then they were not given the full time to take the exam.

She can petition but that could take up to six weeks. She also would hate to retake it again especially if she somehow did better. However she is not too confident given the stress of the testing conditions.

She is applying this cycle to allo schools.

What are her options?
what would you do?

Thanks so much.

Get her to reschedule asap. There's no reason to go through a test when a fire drill happened.

If she finished everything and is as confident as one could be, then go for it.
That's a helluva story to tell at an interview. Hah.

Shes going to call tomorrow and see what her options are.

Seriously so ridiculous. The test center knew beforehand there was one in the building.

She has a 28 actually from before and is just hoping her score prevents her from getting in so thus retake

Yeah. That's irresponsible of the test center.

I would file with AAMC and tell them that the test center had advance knowledge of it and didn't contact the AAMC or give others a chance to reschedule.
