Hey guys, I'm going to be starting my M2 year and just wanted to know what the difference is between the 2005 and 2006 versions of First Aid for Step 1. I have the 2005 version, will I need to get the 2006 now? Thanks!!

CPR guidelines changed big time. Otherwise, I think pretty much the same.

Well actually, I don't know about for Step 1. I'm talking from a CPR/First Aid instructor point of view.

Look Below, didn't type it write the first time.

2005-Subject Based
2006-Organ Based w/ first sections on general principles in each of the basic sciences

lol i think the OP meant First Aid for the boards, not CPR! anyways, you'll be just fine with 2005....i used it and had no problems whatsoever. there is definitely no need to buy every brand new edition IMHO, although others on this forum might tell you otherwise. just make sure to do a search for "First Aid 2005 errata" or something like that to find out what others on this site have found wrong with the edition
