All of the Australian medical schools I am interested in have a application requirement of obtaining a first aid certificate. They're very specific in what they will accept from citizens but from international applicants they just say that a certificate such as one from the Red Cross would be acceptable.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this and can be a little more specific in what is allowed, such as: Certificates obtained from hospitals or community colleges offering EMT classes.

Thanks!

you might wanna look for a website that SDN equivalent for Aussies.. But, I guess they mention Red Cross because thats one of he few organization found everywhere in the world. I'm guessing certification would suffice too. But I dont think EMT=First Aid.. but i'm usually wrong..lol

Should be much easier just to get first-aid certification than to get an EMT certification. I would think anyway.
