As a new PT grad I am in the process of looking for my first job...so I just had a few questions and was wondering if you guys could help me out.
When employers ask for your "salary requirements" on an application you have to fill out, what exactly should I say? Is this a "trap question?" Should I just say that it's negotiable ......what is a good answer for this?

Also, would you have any useful interviewing tips?

Any comments/input will be greatly appreciated. 🙂

it depends on where u are, what kind of facility u work at. I went to salary.com to check out the salary range, but I found out the pay is so ...................low!!!!!!!!!
very disappointed, I was wondering if the result is true.

There's a university based PT job posted at Stony Brook in Long Island, NY with a salary range of $56 - 65K/yr. Remember, the cheapest (apt. complex based) one bedroom apt down here is $1000/mo, not counting utils.
On the bright side, you do not have to mention that you live with your mom while you tell patients you're a "doctor" of PT.

Was becoming a PT very stressful within graduate school. I was tryna decide between PT and PT but I want to do PT.

I'm only a freshman in an accelerated program and super stressed out. If you really want it, just do it.

PT school is extremely stressful. I obviously knew going into it that it was a doctorate program and therefore wouldn't be easy. I will say that the time flies by, though. I have also heard that the second year is much less stressful than the first. The third is pretty much clinicals and a research project. The fact of the matter is that nothing worth having/doing is going to be easy, and the 3 years are going to pass by regardless of what you're doing and leave you 3 years older when it's all said and done. Hell, you gotta do something.
