Well, I knew it had to happen sooner or later....the dreaded rejection letter, from UOP! <img border="0" alt="[Wowie]" title="" src="graemlins/wowie.gif" /> But the good news is, they sent along a letter on steps to take to reapply next year! Yeah!!!!

Sorry to hear about the rejection, I have just experienced a similar dissapointed. At least they gave steps to take to reapply. Best of luck!!!

I remember getting that letter last year...oh well. Do you mean you still got accepted to 5 schools? that's awesome!

HI Regina330-

Did you interview at UofP? I was very surprised that you were rejected with your high stats. There loss anyways :)

One guy in my school got acceptance from UofP with 3.1 GPA, 20 DAT scores, and
around 120 hours shodowing experience. Does Uof P like people with as high DAT
score as possible and does not care too much about GPA?

I've heard that because they are a 3-yr school, it is very intense, and therefore, they favor applicants with high DATs. I think that my DAT was my downfall (20/17) because I do have a high GPA and worked full time as a dental assistant for a general dentist and volunteered as a dental assistant for a orthodontist/periodontist. Also, another thing that worked to my disadvantage is that I am from a small, "no-one-outside-of-PA-has-ever -heard-of-it" school.

Got the same letter! Who cares! I rather be a "NOVA"ian!

I'm saying F-it to! I'd rather be in sunny so cal :)
