flow charts/decision trees for ventilator settings/features?

any flowchart/decision tree type of review of ventilator settings/features like simv, imv, cmv, a/c, peep, cpap, etc? I've read review on emdicine but don't feel like i've totally grasped concept. any clinical cases on the net that goes thorugh all the settings of a particular patient? thanks.
