fluctuating scores

i've been taking one or two practice exams for the last few weeks and while my science section grades are pretty consistent, my verbal grades have been fluctuating, from 9 -12, its just really annoying that i can't be consistent at this section and i've been doing practice passages from kaplan and EK....anyone know what i can do in the last few days. maybe i just need a break.
