Hello,
After you be admitted to MD/PhD program, do you get the chance to pick the field that you want to research ( Cell and Molecular, Biophysics ... etc ) or you get matched automatically to a field?

Also, if a student with undergrad in Chemistry gets admitted, can he select Bio-medical Engineering as his research field?

Best,

Best,

You can do pretty much whatever you want. The one exception might be "out there" departments (e.g. physics, applied math), which may impose their own requirements beyond what the PhD program might want, i.e. GRE, etc.

You get to choose. It will differ between schools, but usually you will go through the same gateway & process as regular PhD pre candidates in the department of your choosing.
