For the MCAT, if I feel like I forgot a lot about topic, then is it fine to start relearning that content even if it's 1+ years away from my test?

Basically the title, I feel like I've forgotten almost all of gen chem so would it be wise to get the kaplan books or something and start slowly re-learning the content even if I'm over a year out from testing?

It’s fine I guess to start that early. Just use Anki or make little cheat sheets/summary sheets for yourself because you’re going to forget whatever you don’t use regularly anyway

How did you do in your chemistry class (grades)?

Did you know many premeds like to be TAs for intro bio or chem?

Anki may be useful for memorizing formulas and basic concepts but from my perspective not that useful in figuring out problem solving strategies which are more critical on the MCAT. Agree with the above about looking to TA or tutor, a great way to refine your own skills.

I TA almost every premed class other than gen chem lol just bc I really feel like I've forgotten everything from that class.

I also know that some schools may offer you "refresher" modules as part of your onboarding to medical school after you place your enrollment deposit... likely a few months before orientation. (I'm trying to get more information about this.)
