Hi!

I recently finished my Doctoral Degree in Psychology from a UK university. During my Doctoral years, I moved to California and now need to obtain licensure in California.

The Board is obviously slow in replying to me emails and voicemessages at the moment so thought to check-in with people here who may have been in a similar situation as me. The BOP website says that I will have to have my degree evaluated by an Evaluation Service, but there is no other information about the address to send it to; instructions (does my uni need to send it directly to the BOP; do they need to sign the seal?). Obviously my supervisors were not APA-registered but there were registered with the regulating bodies in the UK: BPS and HCPC.

Has anybody else here gone through this process? Did the supervision hours completed in the UK count when you applied in California/the US? Did you have to re-do any aspect of the doctoral program to gain licensure in California/the US?

I was looking forward to just prepping for the EPPP but it seems as though the exam is the last component after all the supervised practice!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but after the eppp you have to take the cplee.

Not sure about the rest. I've never encountered a licensed foreign grad here.

In my experience, the board took about 3 weeks to reply to emails pre-covid and I heard it's longer now.
