anyone know how difficult it is to come back and practice in the US after doing a residency outside of the us in europe or asia?

You have to do residency again in the States they might give you some credit fot time you've spent abroad but basically you have to start from the beginning again. It's different if you just want to do a fellowship or something then you don't need to have done residency.
