how did everyone feel about form cs? i felt the verbal and ps sections were pretty tough, i felt lost on the ps because it covered all my weak points. however, the bio seemed pretty easy, but i can never tell how well i did until i check my answers and its usually the opposite of how i felt.

anyways, just wanted to hear your opinions.

hey ac,
i had form cs too and yes i totally felt exactly the way you do. i keep thinking about all kinds of dumb mistakes i made on the physical sciences section. do you remember the question about the car going off the mountain or something, i think it was close to the end of the passage set...they asked about the KE at the top of the path...i put that it was 1/2mssquared but i think that it was really 21/2mssquared because they specifiied velocity and in the answer with the 21 the velocity was in the y direction. am i making sense? anyway yeah i can never tell how i do in bio but the ps and verbal were tough.

hey doubleoseven,
i had form CN but sounds like we had similar PS sections. i had that car passage- i think the answer was 21/2mssquared.
what was the shape of the trajectory? was it a hyperbola?

yeah i think you're right about the answer being 21/2mssquared...i really need to get over it because i keep beating myself up over it. i thought the path of the trajectory was a parabola but i think i'm wrong because i think i messed up on the whole passage!

SOME QUESTIONS I HAD NOT SURE ABOUT---WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK
B.S 1) WHICH REACTIOND PRODUCES STABLE PRODUCTS
THERMO REGULATED (THE ONE I CHOSE)
KINETIC REGULATED
EXOTHERMIC
2) WHICH GETS LEFT IN AQU LKAYER
KETONE, CARBOX ACID, AMINO, ALCHOL---I CHOSE KETONE
3) IN E2----WHICH GETS ABSTRACTED FROM RING BY BASE HYDROGEN A, B, OR C--I CHOSE B
4)ALSO, DID QUESTION ON BIOCCHEM HAVE CHOICE OF EPIMER OR ANOMERWHEN COMPARING GLUCOSE AND GALACTOSE---I CHOSE DIESTEREOMER AND I HOPE-----EPIMER
4) why are secondary amino acids more soluble than esters---i wrote more hydrogen bonding---was it resonece
5) regarding the white blood cells---was the percentage of t cells 63, the same as the tcells in the graph-------a;lso whT DO we give the kid to help ?
rc----regharding the statute di d the ownnership cause the suspicion---i thought not

Hey,

Dermoman... I had a problem with a lot of the same questions.

But, sorry, i'm not usually one to remember questions after an exam is done (somehow, my classmates always expected i can...) also, i've done so many practice test, i get those question muddled with the ones on the real test if i think back....

I think i said ketone also... i know it was a complex thought process, and you had to think of what was not affected by the previous steps (an ester would have been broken by the acid and base).

Did anyone think that crystal structure passage was NASTY evil?
Or, is crystal structure info they covered normal freshman chem? The passage had all the info you needed, but still, it was tough, since the only time i saw this stuff was in a upper division materials science class (which i did terrible in, and certainly hadn't thought about in the MCAT prep).
IF NH3 was a crystal, what would it's shape be. It threw me off because NH3 is NOT a crystal. after the test, i thought maybe if you froze NH3, it could become a crystal (Because ice is a crstal).. but it seemed those rules only applied for ionic compounds, and Nh3 is NEVER ionic... right?
And then there was another weird question about S0Cl2 vs. MgCls2 and why the sulfur compound had more e- dens b/w atoms. All i remember from PS is the crsystal structure passage... it was evil.

Also, the passage on the variable resistor had a few questions that could easily trick anyone who took equations and plugged numbers in. I think i got them, though. (unless i thought to much, and convinced myself away from correct answers).

I thought BS was relatively hard (lots of experimental passages to eat up time), PS was normal, and Verbal was easy. Well, verbal i was tense b/c it was the real thing, so i really really sped up. BS, i forgot one passage, b/c i jumped around questions, and had 1 min left to do that psg once i caught that mistake.

Double o seven and phatty...
Why would the projection be anything but a parabola?

That immunology and T cell passage was also bad... but don't trust my knowledge on that stuff...

oops! i think i messed up on the question about the most stable products being formed from which type of reaction:
thermo regulated
kinetic regulated
exothermic
i said thermo regulated but now from what i read on the EK bulletin board, thermo regulated could be exo or endothermic so the correct answer was probably exothermic. waaaah!!! y didn't i think of that?!!?

Hey y'all-

I felt the same way as most of you guys here. I thought PS was HARD. I actually didn't finish and I've been kicking myself about that ever since. I don't know what really happend- she called 5 minutes and I realized I had a passage and 1/2 left. Damn.

VR was pretty hard too- What the hell was the Robin Hood passage all about? That was just too much crap for me to handle. Pretty much everything else was ehh. I enjoyed the wolf passage- esp about the subordinate wolf pee'ing on himself...

I didn't think BS was too bad- I was happy because the first orgo passage didn't come until 4-5 passages into the section. It seemed like a lot of the same Bio stuff over and over again though? I felt like they could've mixed up the subjects better.

I'm just praying that I did alright- or it'll be August MCAT for me. 🙄
