Hi there,
Just posted this in the psych forum, but do any of you have any familiarity with psych/fp combined programs? What are the advantages and disadvantages these programs. Do you know if graduates often practice both? Thanks

Intresting you mention it.

You could become a medical director of a psych treatment center as well as work in your own practice doing FP. It can be lucretive. You will get paid for visiting with the psych patient and a fee for acting as medical director. You also get paid for you FP services.

Not a bad way to go if you like psych. you can also have a private counseling practice. There is a shortage of qualified therapist.

I believe they are 5 year residency programs.

Good Luck.
