anyone know if applying to fp, what are the general requirements for letter of recs? that is, is there a need for letters from different specialties during clerkship? thanks for the reponses

I'm not aware of any requirements, but it may differ from program to program. Here's what I got: 2 very strong letters from FPs at my school who are known and respected in the field, 1 letter from the head of the Pediatric residency program at my school, and one letter from the head of the ER. I don't know how strong the ER letter was, and I probably didn't really need it, but I know the other three were good letters (at least that's what I've been told). Hope this helps!

my school didn't have FP...i asked for...

1 letter from peds primary care attending
1 letter from internal medicine dept chair
1 letter from primary care dept head

i was told they were all very strong
