has anyone had any particularly good experiences volunteering in free clinics or other community health centers in manhattan? i have some time in the mornings before i go to work and i'm looking to volunteer somewhere. i work at a hospital, so i could always volunteer there, but i've done the whole e.r. thing before - looking for something a little more involved. i figured i'd be able to find a bunch of clinics in new york, but it seems like the more publicized ones are looking for medical students or are affiliated with actual medical schools. anyone have any suggestions? thanks.
