Hey all

I have heard that Case Western provides laptops for all of their students. are these "take home" computers, or is this program similar to Cincinnati's, where the laptops are provided for the students to use at school? And for you folks at other schools: are you given a computer during your first year (or a Palm in the third)?
Thanks for your input

i believe UVM gives their students free computers too.....of course they're only free after the $37 grand tuition.....

I don't think free is the correct word. More like, included in tuition. Here at Wake, we receive our computers during orientation of 1st year and they are ours to keep. Technically, they are the property of the school until we graduate, but we never have to give them back. Confusing, I know, but they are basically our laptops. We also get PDA's 3rd year, but I haven't gotten that far, so I can't tell you anything about that.
