Hello fellow pre-med students and inspired-to-be-doctors and the likes,
While I was getting a LOR from my EMT instructor, she told me of a great opportunity for those of you interested in getting emergency medical technician training. The training and the required textbook will be completely paid for. The sessions will last from Jun 1 to Aug 11, 2010 every Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thu from 8:30a to 5p at the John Adams City College of San Francisco Campus. This program is only available to those who are 1) from a low income household and 2) residents of San Francisco. For those of you who are interested, please call (415)782-6276 and asked for Adam Ling for more information. There will be an orientation held on Wed, May 26 at 1pm in room 47D at 1860 Hayes Street, San Francisco, CA 94117 (John Adams campus). If you were to take NREMT approved EMT B classes, it can cost $1495 and more. The maximum enrollment capacity is 45, so hurry up and apply before the class is filled. I have personally taken the class and I had a wonderful experience. I wish you all the best luck in reaching your goals.

not a san fran res so can't apply but thanks for the info!

very nice to see, thanks!

Can I use my relative's address in Oakland?😳

Well, the requirement is that you are a resident of San Francisco. I am not entirely sure how they will verify your address of permanent residence. Be sure you are able to provide proof when asked.

That is a great opportunity sadly I'm not a California resident
