i have signed up and got 5 people referred but no one has completed an offer.
all you do is sign up (e-mail and password) then choose one offer to complete range from free trials to paying s&h or you can actually pay for a service (blockbuster).
you need 5 referrals, need different physical addresses and cannot use the same computer for signing up or else your account will be put on hold.

for the freeiPodShuffle.com the offer sometimes change. when i just looked up to see what offers are available there were none that were free but, there were four that are $1, for the first month. cannot canel until a week later, but it doesn't matter b/c you paid for that month. call wave is a free trial but i have not heard anyone using that offer yet.

i also have a question....does anyone know what on the freeipods.com or freeipodshuffle.com sites can get your account put on hold? i've heard that having people who live at the same mailing address or using the same computers complete offers can get you put on hold...anything else? i'm thinking about helping my girlfriend complete an offer for me (she's not big on computers) using my credit card and login info, from her computer, so i can go in and cancel the offer later. would that work?


also, does anyone know if it works to have family members sign up for offers if they use a different computer / different address (ie- my parents house vs. my house)?

if you read their terms of service, they have a section on this topic. Basically the big things that will get your account on hold is if you try and cheat: 1) multiple accounts (same IP addresses) 2) Accounts with same mailing address 3) spaming your reference where you shouldn't

however, i have heard examples of people with multiple accounts because they made one or two a few months ago and forgot the login info. So they created a new account. they still got a free ipod because they explained to gratis the situation. my gf signed up for one using my computer before i was fully aware of the rules. I explained the situation to them right away and they are now shipping me my ipod.

so to answer your CC question... the best thing is to probably ask gratis themselves. if i were you, i wouldn't chance it though.

Don't cheat, they will catch you.

to answer your last question:
if the mailing addresses and computers are different, you'll be safe. technically, as long as the households are different, you should be safe.

It does work I've heard so many stories about it that I had to try it out. Search google and look at the forums, lots of people have gotten their ipods of macs or whatever they ordered.

I am pretty skeptical when it comes to these gimmicks but I've seen it first hand so I'm getting on the wagon. It is easy to do and only 5 referrals are needed. Some of the offers you need to complete are actually good offers and relatively cheap, some free for the first month. Some more food for thought, this board is maintained by people with some sense, doctors and med students, so why not give it a shot. Here is my link

That said, I've heard a few people that did not, mainly b/c they tried to cheat, which gratis network catches on to quickly. Anyone who wants to sign up should just get legitimate referrals and they should not have a problem.

Gratis actually screwed my over because they said that I was not refering legit people because they had the same address as me and they simply brushed off the fact that these people had the same address as me because they were my F@(#'in roomates. They also wouldn't let a refereal for my mom go through and said that was fake so they told me to get 2 more refereals and I would be fine. SOOOO, i do the two more and they again give me the same crap. I eventually just ended up buying an iPod and was extremely unhappy with Gratis. I emailed them a bunch of times trying to explain to them the situation about my roomates and all. They said it didnt' matter even though each person was definately legit because they used seperate credit cards with their own names on them to sign up for the offers.

WORD OF ADVICE, STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMS, 1 OUT OF 10 PEOPLE MIGHT GET THE FREE ITEM BUT THE OTHER PEOPLE SIMPLY GET SCREWED. AND I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. 👎 👎 👎

Yes - I did the free ipod deal and I got it. It is sitting next to me right now, a bright, shiny, brand new, 20 gig iPod. Retail: $299. My cost: $0.00

No, you cannot fake your way through the system. As you can imagine they are going to take it seriously in order to make enough profit and still give away expensive iPods.

They don't just want your email, they want your name and address. For my free ipods, I had to get 5 people to sign up. I had my wife sign up, but the rejected her because we have the same address. So you have to get 5 people from 5 different households with 5 different emailing addresses and 5 different street addresses (no PO Boxes) to complete 1 offer each.
