Why is the website exclusive for spouses of medical professions...what if they're both in the medical profession and what about if...lets say a female is a med student but her husband has another job and she wants to get advice etc from somewhere...is this website useful to that or only for spouses who are of non-medical professions (or maybe no profession at all)?•••••Simseema17,
The site fits the needs of anyone that is a spouse/partner to someone in the medical profession. If both people in a couple were doctors, this would still apply.
There is a dearth of sites on the internet that address the special circumstances of being married to a person that will be gone the long, irregular hours doing a profession that generally has to come first over family time.
You being in the medical profession will have your classmates and others to talk to and to understand where you are coming from. Your spouse/partner might need to find a way to connect with people that understand what it is like to be connected with a medstudent/doctor.
This site provides that.
Also, if you were really in need of learning/help/whatever, you could still find it on such a site by seeing it from the other point-of-view....that of those partnered to medical people.
I think that having the site is wonderful and helpful to a great many people. To want it to be all things to all people instead of filling a need for a certain segment, is not realistic and no site can seek to be all to all.
