NYC-based career-changer to medicine just kicking off a post-bac here, but sharing a resource some friends and I built to help out healthcare workers and their families weather this storm.
It’s called Help Supply and it’s built to enable the basic ‘life needs’ of doctors, nurses, EMTs and essential hospital support staff — namely free grocery shopping, low or no-cost childcare and free professional mental health services. There are nearly 2,000 volunteers trained in risk reduction to deliver these services and we’ve got coverage across Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. We’re live now at www.help.supply
Please give this a try and share if you think it could be useful.
