I appreciate the work of Lee and rdennisjr in Moderating this Forum while I was out of town on vacation. Thank you guys.

I fully support their actions and would have done the same. The offending thread was in violation of the TOS and as has been mentioned earlier, we will be enforcing this more stringently than in the past.

Users are encouraged to review the TOS should they have questions about the recent closing of accounts or threads.

Off topic, can I just comment on how far I've seen you come since the old days back on medschool.com when you used to post questions...so inquisitive back then, hoping to match into Surgery. Having to deal with all the A$$holes who told you you wouldn't match as a IMG. Now, look at you, all grown up...kicking people off of web forums...

While I appreciated the difficulties in matching into a Categorical position and especially in Plastics, the vitriol with which some addressed me never ceased to amaze me. Baby look at me now!!

I am not really familiar with your "story". Where did you attend Medical School? I was thinking of looking into a couple of International MedicalSchools, but the match issue has kind of turned me away from that path.

I'm just getting back from vacation - so short and sweet answer: I graduated from The Flinders University School of Medicine in Adelaide, South Australia and am now finishing my first year as a Surgical resident at Penn State U.

It's nice to see Kimberli and Lee stop in and give their two cents on davidgreen.

I'd like to explain why davidgreen won't be posting anymore so that perhaps we won't have to do this again.

While SDN fully supports a varied, vital, and pasionate debate on issues, it is important that such discussions remain on a professional level. That does not mean that pointless discussions can't happen - but it does mean abiding by the SDN User Agreement that everyone agreed to when registering. Unfortunetly davidgreen decided to step across that infamous line-in-cyberspace by creating a poll that not only was a vicious personal attack on another member but blatently and continously used profanity. Both of these actions are unprofessional and against the SDN User Agreement.

The moderators do our best to keep our hands off the various threads, but it is a constant battle to maintain a free flowing discussion and yet keep things on at least a semi-professional level. Many times we will work in the background to try and get things straightened up but once in a while we find something that is just not acceptable and respond accordingly.

As always, please feel free to PM any of the other moderators or myself if you have questions or concerns about this issue or any others.

Wish DG had not used the f word..sadly this forum has lost someone as intelligent as david green while klebsiella who makes scathing personal attacks all the time lingers on!!!! Wow looks like besides being a really slow link that keeps crashing SDN is turning out to be a really rigid forum.

A better idea would be to use software to filter out that kinda stuff that sometimes are made in an emotional frenzy rather than kick someone out!!
Well thats technology that SDN will have in the next decade I guess! :laugh

Maybe the queen and the ingenius administrators of this forum should go and see what Klebsiella had been doing to provoke david green...and many of us. Instead of kicking him out I suggest kicking Klebsiella out....he really catches you by suprise and resorts to verbal abuse if you have valid points with factual evidence about something.

Well there is ample evidence that this has ceased to be democratic forum....the moderators do as their whims direct them, we have one who calls herself a Queen!!....sheesh how degrading and how egocentric....so what does that make the members? subjects I think not....maybe those who share the "queens" fascination with constitutional monarchy would like it!

While I could care less about any of the people involved here, it does sound like there is an overwhelming call for the moderators to view some of the postings of Klebsiella.

Have you reviewed them? Personally, I haven't, but I do think it's a good idea, in light of the protests.

Even if he doesn't use profanity, some of his posts may very well be "unprofessional."

I've found that discussion forums are pretty good at policing themselves. It would only have been a matter of time until all of the Klebsiella fans on the forum sprang to his defense and shouted down the offensive davidgreen. <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

I personally didn't even know David Green...because I hardly read any of his posts...

but I dont understand how the moderators of this forum can easily ban a person with one thread...when kbleisalla's posts who I have read, offend people left and right....he doesn't have any qualms about attacking ppeople of all groups....and I find it rather bizarre and extremely strange, that David Greene got the boot instead of Kbleisalla....I was seriously disappointed...

at one point Kbleisalla took the home address and the phone number of one of the SDNers and THREATENED to report his/her info to the FBI?

if that isn't a threat and a personal attack....I don't know what it is!!!
