Does anyone know a source to find out what D.O. medical schools have accepted Idaho residents historically?

Many of the private Osteopathic schools don't care what state you're from. I can think of 4 students off the top of my head in my class at DMU who are from Idaho.

I agree. If you apply to the private DO schools, they will accept you based on your qualifications. So where you are from won't be too important.

I think CCOM has some regional bias (half of accepted are instaters even though they get many out of stater applicants), and I wouldn't be surprised if other schools do as well, but as long as you are competitive and do good on your interviews, you'll get in somewhere.

COMP offers the Northwest track option, which has you doing your rotations back in Idaho. I think you're also expected to do your residency in Idaho (or where ever you are from in the Northwest). Obviously the purpose of this program is to get more physicians to practice in the Northwest, where there's need. However, I don't know if you would be more likely to get accepted to COMP if you qualify for the Northwest track. I'm also from Idaho and I got accepted into the Northwest track, but did not apply for it, nor wanted it. Luckily my acceptance was not contigent on me accepting the Northwest track option.

We have people from Idaho State and Boise State here at KCOM. KCOM participates in "WICHA", something about intermountain health sciences schools because there is a sister campus in Arizona. You may want to look into it.
