Anyone know the cheapest way to get from Ontario airport to Loma Linda Medical Center? I'm arriving next Wednesday and am wondering how expensive a taxi would be.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm familiar with the area. To get to Loma Linda from the Ontario airport, you'd take a taxi on the 10-East for about 30 min. My hunch is that the fare would be no more than $30.

I think it really depends on when you are getting in. The 10 can be pretty nasty, especially cause there's construction that has it down to three lanes in certain parts. If you take it anywhere between 6 and 10 in the morning or 3 and 7 at night, I'd probably rent a car, cause traffic will be bad, like probably closer to an hour from the airport. I don't know what that'd do for a cab fare, but I'd certainly feel more comfotable in my own car. But that's just me...
Good luck, by the way! 👍

I don't live in California but I travel in that area a lot, and I prefer to fly into Ontario over any of the other LA county airports - it's less crowded and finding the freeway is a snap.

I'd rent a car - Ontario has a shuttle bus to a separate little terminal for the rental car companies - makes it very easy to get in and out with minimal hassle. Rental cars are quite reasonable at Ontario, especially if you're traveling on a Thursday or Friday - Ontario seems to me to be more of a business traveler's airport. It will be quite easy to jump on the 10 East and then you'll just exit at the signs for Loma Linda right before you get to the Banning Pass between the mountains.

You may have a lot of wait time on the freeway depending on the time of day and that would make a taxi very expensive. So - you'd need to start your car trip plenty early in both directions - but it's an easy, straightforward drive - you'll just probably spend some time on the 10 at a dead stop.

Super Shuttle is the cheapest, but you might have to print out directions from mapquest, because some drivers are better than others.

Thanks for the help guys.. I'm arriving to Ontario around 8:00am and I don't need to be to LLU until about 10:40. Sooo.. I think traffic probably will be bad and that really would screw me with a taxi fare. Oh and I think the super shuttle is like 30 bucks EACH WAY, and I can rent a car for about 40 bucks for the day (taxes included).. The good thing is that I am flying back home that day so I won't need to spend $$ on a hotel.. I guess I'll use the sweet lemons fallacy =)

If anyone else is going to be flying in that morning, let me know, we'll carpool or something.

Thanks again!
