I've seen some of her other stuff, but never knew of her website. Thanks. I like the most recent entry about the "baby on fire."
"recent" is relative --> Keep in mind the "baby on fire" panel was done in 2004 (she signs/dates on the bottom right hand corner).

=)

she's been writing/bloging more than drawing these days sadly enough...she has a book deal even....

No way, she has a book deal?

She's an anesthesia resident at my hospital and well-liked. I've done a couple of cases with her. Very cool, and her sense of humor is preserved IRL.

Wow, you work at *UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL* too? (as she refers to it on her blog...)

I wonder what Dr. Au's stereotype of a plastic surgeon would be? I especially liked the one about the neurosurgeon being in love with himself and the cliched "this isn't brain surgery" joke.

Always good to see references to "The Underwear Drawer" here - best medical blog, IMHO.

If I remember correctly, she started out in Peds. Then switched to Gas. Guess she finally started reading her own comics on how ridiculous Pediatrons could be. :)

Hey, don't knock it if you can't hack it. ;)

Yuppers, ex-peds.

UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL is hardly anonymous... which I love about her. She pretends to protect the identity of the place while exposing all of its... I suppose the euphemism is "foibles."

She doesn't really write anything that would be interpreted as malicious or defaming to her institution. That's the right thing to do. Because, let me tell you, all it takes is for one jacka$$ to read a post about, say, Gonzaga, and the Gonzaga lawyers will be contacting you about possible "slander and libel."

I guess this speaks to the power of the internet. :)

Just served with papers from Gonzaga lawyers...libel, slander, defamation--seeking damages for lost revenue and mental anguish.

I suffer mental anguish from watching them blow it in the NCAA tourneys every year. Who's gonna compensate me for that?

I remember reading a story once, I think it came out of England, where a guy bought insurance to cover mental anguish over his team losing.

As a die hard Yankee fan, I might consider buying some myself. Especially with all the potential people going on the DL in recent days... :(

$30 million a year for ten years to sit on the DL within a month of the season starting? Awesomest slacker play ever.

Let's not even talk about NCAA tourney anguish. I've picked Memphis to win it all the last 3 years in a row. I think my head actually exploded when the final went into OT this year.
