Future of the Commonwealth Medical Internships Initiative

If I am not wrong, the CMI initiative would fund additional internship spots for internationals until 2017.
I have not heard any information about the program being renewed for 2018 and beyond. Google also does not give me anything meaningful.

Any information on the CMI initiative in upcoming years would be greatly appreciated.
